Sago Mini Doodlecast – Free This Weekend!

Sago Mini Doodlecast

This fun game combines drawing and music, and even has a playback that lets you see the process you used to draw your picture from start until finish. My kids have enjoyed this game for several months and this weekend you can find it free here. I would gage the age on this game from 2 to 6.

If you are going to spend money, don’t buy this app… buy Toca Hair Salon 2. The graphics and options are much better. But this week only, Toca Hair Salon is totally free!! I had my kids test it out today and they were definitely excited to get to style, cut, dye, blow dry, buzz, and accessorize someone else’s hair. I can assure you that little girls will enjoy this app. Toca Hair Salon

Fun App For Kids: Sushi Monster by Scholastic

sushi monster app for kids

Yesterday I tried a new app with Ksena, my 6 year old. I read on the reviews that kids thought this game was fun, and parents thought it was educational. I have to confirm both. It is currently free in the iTunes store.

It is rated 4+ but I honestly don’t know any 4 year olds that could successfully use this app by themselves. It presents different numbers in the form of sushi, and the monster has a number around his neck. You have to combine the different numbers to achieve the number around the monster’s neck, and then he eats all of the sushi. With my help, Ksena really enjoyed this game. Level one was simple enough for her to understand after I explained it, but level two is a pretty big jump for a child her age. I would recommend the game in general it for 6 years and up. The multiplication levels are definitely for older kids, I would say 8 and above, because they progress quickly. There really isn’t any 2 x 1 or 3 x 3 to start out. You really jump right in.

I thought it was fun, and I generally dislike math, hahaha. So there you go, on your next long trip, bring some fun math along for your medium aged children.

Happy travels!!

Awesome App For Kids – Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally

Mickey Mouse Free App

Awesome App For Kids – Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally

Here is another free app that your kids are going to love! Mickey Mouse and his Clubhouse friends are getting ready for a road rally! Your child’s job is to help them get through their various tasks by using the different mouse-ka-tools. This is literally an episode from the popular Disney Junior television show with interactive things built in for your children to take part in. My kids love it, and I love it engages their minds.

I hope your children love this app as much as my kids do and it creates some entertainment and fun learning times on your next trip across the country or to the grocery store.

Happy travels!!
